Argentina faces soaring Covid-19 infections after breaking previous all-time records since the end of 2021.
On Wednesday (January 5), as hundreds of people queued for a test outside hospitals and designated sites, 95,159 tested positive out of 170 thousand tests, according to the government's stats.
The positivity rate of around 50 per cent means that the South American nation is probably dealing with 150 to 200 thousand new infections every day, said biochemist Jorge Geffner.
