Starlink's satellite beams are currently turned off over India, so while the satellites may pass over India, the beams delivering internet connectivity are not active in India.

But, Starlink's satellite beams are technically accessible over Myanmar, even though the service is not officially licensed there.

Myanmar junta court convicts Suu Kyi of corruption:

A Myanmar junta court on Wednesday sentenced Aung San Suu Kyi to five years in jail for corruption, part of a barrage of criminal cases that could see the deposed civilian leader jailed for decades.
Since a military coup ousted her government in February last year, plunging Myanmar into upheaval, Suu Kyi has been in military custody.
In the latest case, the Nobel laureate was accused of accepting a bribe of $600,000 cash and gold bars.
After two days of delays, the special court in the military-built capital Naypyidaw handed down its verdict and sentence at 9:30 am (0300 GMT) on Wednesday.

The UN Security Council on Wednesday condemned the reported killing of at least 35 people, including four children and two humanitarian workers in Myanmar's Kayah State on December 25.
The Ambassadors in a statement called for accountability and "the immediate cessation of all violence".
The Council members emphasised the importance of respecting human rights and ensuring the safety of civilians. They also underscored the need for "safe and unimpeded humanitarian access to all people in need, and for the full protection, safety and security of humanitarian and medical personnel", according to UN News.

As many as 100 people are feared missing after a landslide at a jade mine in Myanmar.
Rescue teams are desperately searching for people in a nearby lake, with most victims believed to be illegal miners. One person is confirmed dead.
The landslide occurred in the Hpakant area of northern Kachin state at 04:00 on Wednesday (21:30 GMT Tuesday).
Myanmar, also known as Burma, is the world's biggest source of jade, but its mines have seen numerous accidents.
The landslide is believed to have been caused by an overflow of rubble discarded from lorries to the open-pit mines.

Myanmar’s ousted civilian leader, Aung San Suu Kyi was sentenced to four years imprisonment after being found guilty on two charges, the first verdicts in a raft of criminal cases that the country’s military has brought against her since seizing power 10 months ago. Ms Suu Kyi was convicted of charges of incitement and violating pandemic rules. The 76-year-old Nobel Peace Prize laureate is facing a total of 11 charges which can bring in a maximum imprisonment of 102 years.

Suu Kyi has been found guilty on two charges — of inciting the public against the military and breaching the Covid-19 protocols in the country.
The incitement charge stems from statements made on Facebook pages of Suu Kyi’s party after she was detained by the military, following a coup that prevented her from starting a second term in office.
